Address Groups

Create Address Groups
With the Purolator's E-Ship Online, you can now create group distribution lists for easy one click shipping.
  1. To access this functionality, go your E-Ship Online Address Book, select Address Groups from the Address Book Tools drop-down and click the arrow button.
  2. Please enter a name for your address group that will appear in the name section of the E-Ship Online Address Book. By selecting the address area from the drop-down menu you determine whether this group contains Canadian, US or International addresses only, as different shipping rules apply. Click NEXT when you are ready.
  3. The left list-box now contains all available addresses from your address book that apply to the category you selected - Canada, US or International. The right list-box contains the addresses that are in this group. Since you just created this group it will be empty.
    • To add a record to your group, select it from the left list-box and click ADD.
    • To remove a record from your group, select it from the right list-box and click REMOVE.
    • Tick the Make This Group Private check-box, if you wish to this group not to be displayed in shared address books.

As you may notice, depending on your actions, the records are moved from one list-box to the other and are available in one box at a time only, to avoid duplicates.

Please note that currently groups cannot have more than 25 group members.
Once you have added all names that you wish to ship to in this group, click SAVE to create a new record in the Address Book - your distribution list is now ready to be used.

Edit Address Groups

To access this function, go to your E-Ship Online Address Book and select the Address Group you wish to edit by simply clicking on it. You will see the Address Book interface with the list-boxes for available addresses in your E-Ship Online Address Book and the current group contents.
  1. Add, or remove address records as you wish. Don't forget to click SAVE to update this group.
  2. To delete the complete group, click on the DELETE ENTIRE GROUP button. While this group will not be available anymore, the individual addresses are not touched during this process.
Please note that the addresses are embedded in the groups, resulting in growth of your address book size that may affect download times. Also, when you change individual addresses, you will need to edit these addresses in the group, by adding from the available addresses list-box and removing the duplicate from the current group list.
