Overview: Using the Products Database
E-Ship Online’s Products Database speeds up your package preparation by letting you save frequently-used products for quick reference.

Harmonized Codes (also sometimes called HS-Codes) are used on forms for customs clearance. They are an international standard of classification which identifies a specific product for customs officials.

If you know the HS-Code for the item you are shipping, completing the Harmonized Code field in the International tab of the Shipment function will expedite the customs clearance. If you do not include the code, the customs broker will assign it.

You can use the Products Database option to create a table so that you can quickly place HS-Codes that you know into the International tab of your shipment.

The Products Database has been expanded and allows you to:

• Select your product by clicking on the name or on the icon
• Edit / delete product right off the main Products Database screen by clicking either the edit , or delete icon , without opening each product individually
• Sort your addresses by clicking on the column you would like to sort by
• Search products by diffrent criteria

The Products Database dropdown menu allows you to:

• Add a product to your Products Database
• Delete All your products from your Products Database
• Import products from external sources

Products Database - Sorting

The new E-Ship Online Products Database allows you to specify the sort order of your products in a couple of very easy methods.

Either you select the fields and sort order from the drop-down menus at the top of the Products Database

Or you simply click on the header you wish to sort by a triangle will appear next to the column name indicating the search order - either ascending, or descending.
